Home of our "Noir" story threads. Come for the plotlines, stay for the coffee. And the pie. It's really good pie.

Hey Peoples,

I'VE HIT THE MOTHER LOAD.

The Crime Lounge

This guy has compiled 17 whole albums of Crime/Jazz/Cocktail Lounge/Cop Drama TV Show genre music!
Think Henri Mancini except moreso.
Also he's compiled 3 mood music albums.
Not to mention his self compiled Bond and Dirty Harry albums.

Also did I mention that these are all FREE TO DOWNLOAD!?!

I would imagine a trifecta of noir awesomeness to have actual noir in it...

But still, this is pretty excellent.

I'd like to submit "One Day I Will Kill You" by Deadbolt. It's more surfy than anything posted so far, but I think it fits.

Nice! Reminds me of some of the stuff from Ry Cooder's latest, but the most nwar-y songs don't seem to be on YouTube. Here's an old classic instead: One man, one vote, one beer.

YouTube reminded me to post some Tom Waits, so here are two from Blue Valentine:
Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis.
Romeo is Bleeding.
But Romeo is bleeding as he gives the man his ticket and he climbs to the balcony at the movies
And he'll die without a wimper, like every hero's dream -
just an angel with a bullet, and Cagney on the screen.
Problem? Thoughts on how to improve the forum? Hit the suggestions thread!
