I invented my own alphabet system once. It used no vowels, just symbolic identifiers above the consonant following where a vowel would be to indicate the vowel sound used. It was also extremely phonetic, so there wasn't a c, only a k, etcetera. I had a ch letter, and all the letters had this weird elvish look to them. Sorta abstracted letters with long strokes. Had it's own punctuation too.
I would then use it when I got bored in class to rewrite "The Raven" in my notebook in this weird, fancy looking "language" that was just english written real funny.
