What have you done out of sheer boredom?

Postby Lich king » Mon Oct 18, 2010 4:54 pm

Pretty simple, what have you done when you were bored out of your mind? Me? I put one of those batteries with the - and + on all on one end on various parts of my mouth for a whole day.

I watched all of Ally McBeal in like, three weeks. That's pretty embarrassing. Also Played this until my eyes bled:

I learned to solve a Rubik's cube. And wiggle my ears.

I've always been able to wiggle my ears. Apparently, only like 10% of people can do it at all.

I cannot, however, solve a Rubik's Cube. No, not even with other people's help.

I learned how to solve it by watching this guy's videos. I can usually solve them in under a minute, if I'm really trying. It's a great way to pass the time, since it builds hand strength and dexterity.

I left this place out of boredom. I come back now and then though just to read through.

@mike, that looks like the book method. Look up the fridrich method if you want to get any faster. I use a mix of the two and just averaged 35.51 in competition last Saturday.

I've tried that method, but I'm just not good enough to solve it reliably. I usually screw something up. If I ever cared to get much faster I would put more effort into it, but mostly I just use it to show off.
