September 2013 discussion thread

Remember when your parents told you your dog got sent to a farm? This is that farm, except it's full of old monthly discussion threads.

Sure looks like her. I'm wondering if the radicalification of people already present in Doc's world is a secondary effect of King Rad's plan. After all, if people themselves choose to be more radical so as to not be replaced, it follows that the whole world will be more rad in general.

Definitely.

So why is she less radical than Steven the werecentaur?

...and where are the Radical heralds? Surely they have a place in the new order.

Poor guy. That gaptooth will be his undoing, no matter how much he skateboards.

I don't think she's necessarily less radical, I think it just goes based on the relative un-radicalness of the person they are supplanting. Ron supplanted the "worst dude ever" and while Herschel was pretty lame (he did something pretty horrible to get sent to prison) I presume whoever Dame Dudecal is replacing was probably worse than Herschel.

I think Rad just had his Anakin Skywalker activates his pod-racer moment.

No, it's not the gap between his teeth that will be his undoing.

It's the fact that he is just beginning to take up skateboarding as an adult. . . or, even worse, go back to skateboarding after letting adulthood get in the way. . . that will be his undoing.

After all, he figured out what he needs to do to fit in. But he figured it out too late.

Any chance that King Rad lied to Hortense and Old, and that they're going to be replaced, too?

Doubtful, a clone of a ninja doctor who is also a farmer and a ninja-trained international thief are both pretty high up there on the radical scale compared to ALL of King Rad's henchmen which are all petty criminals or worse. Anything from the radical lands that would supplant them would also be radical enough to supplant all of the McNinjas, Gordito, and probably the President, also King Hobo and his Mummy. If that's the case, King Rad wins.

Game over man, game over.

That guy frantically trying to learn how to skateboard just cracks me up. That's my favorite moment of this whole storyline.

So... do the people who get replaced die? Do they just get switched, and end up in the Radical Lands?
