Comic discussion thread - February 2014

Remember when your parents told you your dog got sent to a farm? This is that farm, except it's full of old monthly discussion threads.

My take is that it wasn't supposed to be there at all. I think she meant to say "You say that to all girls." and stop there and the software attached "Tickle Judy", giving it entirely different meaning to the first sentence.

That said, I have to admit I'm having very hard time conceiving how the software could come up with "Tickle Judy" as a logical phrase to auto-complete. I guess I have to just chalk to really glitchy and badly designed autocomplete.

I choose to believe she was originally trying to say, "I'll bet you say that to all the gorillas." That probably wasn't the intent, but dammit, it should've been.

We're back to the one-z Gagibuzo spelling. It's rather inconsistent. I wonder if we'll get a confirmation one way or another, like a village sign or something.

I supose now I know why she doesn't use that thing anymore, after a few like that I would want to trash that machine too...

And I supose Judy is meant to be a teenager in here? it would make sense, but it is hard to imagine it since she is, well, a gorilla.

That would have been the best. Ever.

Every time I think this comic can't get any better, it does.

Now I think I understand why Doc doesn't want Judy's translator machine around when he graduates as Doc. So he can avoid 'McNinja Don't Need Broken English. McNinja Speak Plain English' explanations.

Bingo, that's it. This makes 'Tickle Judy' much more plausible.

So the translator is some kind of low-AI?
That would explain the weirdness of these past comics.

And how it seems to come up with jokes to add on its own.

I love this comic but sometimes feel like it doesn't explain things like this well enough, leaving readers more confused than entertained. If I'm right about the low-AI, Judy could've just mentioned that when she took it out to begin with...
