Comic Discussion Thread - April 2014

Remember when your parents told you your dog got sent to a farm? This is that farm, except it's full of old monthly discussion threads.

Someone said this is in the past. That makes all of this make a lot more sense, but I didn't catch it on the first time through. I missed the "199something" that was tucked in a corner.

It has to be, because this is the first time he ever met Judy.

(Also, if you check out the first several pages of the chapter, he's still in college and roommates with Marty. So, still in the past. And the Most. Awkward. Roommate. Situation. Ever.) :D

Doc's just had his first Scooby Doo moment, scared of the monster. Does this make Judy Scooby? If so Doc can be an honorary Shaggy. Which leads me to wonder if Ape-ula is a Scooby Doo fake? And the deaths of the girl Ape's were somehow staged? Or it could be a vampire about to bite them ahead.

Also did Doc just mystically summon his sword from nowhere? Ha, that's cool moves.

That's a good point. Why are they all female?

Aw Hastings, why do you have to go and do that?

For what it's worth, this sounds less like a terrified "Oh No" and more like "Oh NO they did not".

Am I the only one thinking it might be an illusion? among standard vampire powers, Domination is a fairly common one, which suposelly works by making the target belive that something completelly different is going on, what if they just walked in a room full of vampire apes, but they see hyenas because that's what Ape-ula want them to see?

I mean, Dracula never showed any Domination powers when using them would very well benefit him, and Dracula is the KING OF ALL VAMPIRES, so he must be the most powerful one... but ape vamps don't seem to follow the standard rules.

Is anyone else getting a Scooby Doo vibe?

All it would take is one ventriloquist hiding in the corner. Well, that and some compliant hyenas.
