Comic Discussion Thread - May 2014

Remember when your parents told you your dog got sent to a farm? This is that farm, except it's full of old monthly discussion threads.

Well, if you'd allow me to verge on old World of Darkness... in the Vampires: The Masquerade setting, vampires are meant to dust completelly upon Final Death, which is all fine and dandy, but there are many stances in the very setting that only their flesh dusts, leaving a skeleton behind, simply because otherwise it would be hard to tell if really someone died in that instance, or because it is more dramatic to find a body of some sort, similarly, in Vampires: The Masquerade - Bloodlines game for PC, at one point you are sent to find a certain vampire, and when you find him, he is dead, leaving a skeleton behind(the stake used to kill him is even stuck in his ribs), where every other vampire in the game dusts completelly upon death, at one point, the rules of the tabletop game even specified that, while vampires are meant to dust upon death, it is up for the DM to decide how throughly it should happen, as finding a body sometimes is needed to continue with the story, and simple dust discipates quickly.

TL;DR version: Ape-ula likelly only left a skeleton behind because, otherwise, it would be much harder to confirm that the original Ape-ula was dead, and Hastings wanted to move on with the plot.

Hey guys, so just wanted to have an aside from the comic discussion for a sec. Not sure if everyone's noticed but Hastings now has a Patreon page: http://www.patreon.com/mcninja. It's a really cool service that facilitates us, his fans, to support his work. I just signed up for a $5/month patronage and I'd encourage anyone that has been enjoying this comic for a while to at least check it out. I don't work for patreon or Hastings or any of that. I just think it's a cool idea and figured you guys would be interested in it. Anyways, that's all I got. We'll now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

See? Humans aren't that bad. If it wasn't for humans bringing potatoes back from South America, then you wouldn't be able to have potato salad at your funeral. Only little sandwiches. How awful would that be?

That's a little human-centric, don't you think? Why are you assuming it had to be *people* that brought the potatoes down used in that *particular* bowl of salad?

I'm an idiot, don't listen to me.

The real question is whether Judy leaves the village because they're lame, or they kick her out because she's not.

Night Shovel is pretty much the best super hero name/concept ever.
