Art Stuff

We had a doodlin' thread on the old forum, but I thought I'd start it here with a more broad art category. So whether it's doodles, photos, paintings, photoshopped things, or whatever else, you can share it here.

To start, something I did a while back that I think is pretty cool:
Image
I created an artificial tilt shift using Macromedia Fireworks, and the effect worked pretty well.

That's a really cool effect. It almost looks stereoscopic.

I wish I could do more, but you need certain types of photos to do the effect, and I can't seem to find many that fit the bill. I also can't get the pictures myself, since I don't have a decent enough camera for the job.

Is there like some actual reason that picture's kind of giving me vertigo? D:

The planets are Venus and (I believe) Saturn. I wish I had a better camera, cos this one can't take pictures of the sky well at all, but I like the colors and strata better than anything else about this pic anyway.

Question, and it's not about the art. Isn't Oroku Saki the real name of the Japanese guy who became The Shredder, in the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics? I'll have to go back and reread to be 100% positive...

I'm just askin' :D

Yes, I believe that's what Liam told me. His band's good if you like lots of noise. :D

As we're blowing our own trumpets, I'm a lot better behind the video camera than the pencil. Here's three videos I did:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vBl2nM8Jyo <--- dark, moody and silly.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6AiZaGBal0 <--- pirate vs. giant isopod.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hMMnVuNpGk <--- colonialism as represented by lego and a fake island.

Oh man, this music is pretty great. I downloaded your album :D
Punk music isn't even usually my thing, but this wasn't the sort of screechy atonal bullshit that I usually associate with modern punk. Your stuff reminds me of the Hives
