So, he's been given permission to hang around in the back of said class and take notes, and not have to worry about assessments. So next semester, when he's doing it for reals, he'll already have a comprehensive set of notes to work with, and he will already know what the course has in store. Not what I'd do, but a good plan none the less.

I've been meaning to say this, but Thanks! You've explained it better than I could have. :)

Unless something tragic happens, it looks like Caiti and myself will be going back to school next year. We may even be sharing a few classes. I know she'll be fine and she's promised to help me where she can, but I've been out of the game for a few years. Any advice from anyone out there?

Hey, congratulations! :D What are you going to be studying?
As far as advice goes, I'm not sure what to say - there are a few mature students* at my college and to be honest, they often seem to be the ones who do best. They really care about what they're doing and coming at it with more experience really seems to make the difference. So, someone else might be able to give you some actual helpful advice, but meanwhile try not to worry about it. I think you might be surprised.

*I realise 'mature' student makes you sound like a cheese, but for lack of a better word.

Make plenty of friends, but your studies come first. That is my advice.

I'm going to fail Accounting 2. I failed Accounting 1 my first try also. It angers me that the entirety of accounting can be done with programs that are readily available and yet I am forced to learn how to do it long hand for a degree that has NO RELATION TO ACCOUNTING! Unless of course you were going to become an accounting programmer.

Augh, i don't like school. It's not the homework or the classes or even the teachers, it's just that by comparison Summer was so much more...fun. *sigh*
