Okay, time for another real product review:
Product: Dole Single Serving Strawberry KiwiJuice Blend
Place of purchase: Panda Express
Review: BLEH! I don't know where to start complaining. First off, It's called "Strawberry Kiwi
Blend" and what is the first juice ingredient? Not Strawberry
as the name suggests, but Apple
! Then surly Strawberry
should be at least second right? WRONG! Strawberry
doesn't make an appearance until the 6th ingredient, 4th fruit juice - there's still Pineapple
in front of it and the ever mysterious "Natural Flavors". Well you know what Dole? I CAN MAKE NATURAL FLAVORS TOO! HERE, HAVE A URINE
SAMPLE - IT'S ALL NATURAL!
Coincidentally, that's what it tasted like...well, not exactly(I don't know what urine
tastes like, and I don't plan on finding out), but it was pretty gross. Watered down Apple
juice. Think about that for a minute...okay, no more thinking you already know that those flavors should not mix well - and they don't.
OH! And how could I forget: in big bold type on the front it says "100% Juice" and what is ingredient numero uno? WATER
! At least it wasn't high fructose corn syrup, which I guess is why it's "100% juice".
And one last point: The bottle is 15.2 ounces, a serving size is 8 ounces, and yet there are a claimed 2
serving's per container, not 1.9 servings(do the math, it actually
is exactly 10% less then 2 servings). But I have to give credit to Dole for not lieing about the Nutrition facts. Since it gives facts for 1 serving and whole bottle("2" servings) it says that 1 serving has 100% Vitamin C and 2 has 190% Vitamin C, which co-ordinates with that actual amount you get in a bottle.
In the end, I was definitely not satisfied, but it did quench my thirst. It's not the worst drink I've had(that was drinking fountain water AND paid
water from Six Flags Magic Mountain) I won't give it a 1 star, but I don't think it was quite deserving of a 2 star.
